When putting this on my test server I often get that the tags are not rendering correctly. I am sure it is a setting or something needs to change on my web server I have attached a screen print. An ideas

Can you attach the screenshot of error log in your developer console?
In chrome it's Ctrl + Shift + I, then switch to console tab.

For some reason WebAPI controllers don't work in your web application.
I can't deffinitely tell what is wrong. But I suppose there is the problem in your server configuration. Maybe this will help you:
